About The Boring Company
The Boring Company builds underground Loop transit tunnels, moving passengers point-to-point in Tesla vehicles with no intermediate stops - what would be a 30-minute surface drive during a major event becomes a two-minute tunnel ride. Its own Prufrock boring machines are the other half of the business: purpose-built to cut tunnel construction cost and time well below conventional transit-tunneling methods.
Vegas Loop is the flagship system in operation today, connecting convention center and resort corridor stations, with additional Loop projects underway in other cities as the underlying boring and operations model proves out at larger scale.

How it's kept safe
- Tunnels carry dedicated fire and life-safety systems, including redundant ventilation.
- Multiple emergency egress points are built into the tunnel network independent of the normal station entrances.

Environmental note
An all-electric tunnel fleet avoids the ventilation burden of combustion-engine vehicles underground, and moving trips off the surface reduces surface-level congestion and the idling emissions that come with it.
