N1 Implant
Thought-controlled cursor and device navigation
Electrode threads
1,024 channels
Placement
Robotic, <1mm precision

Wireless, overnight
Overview
The N1 implant reads signals from a thread array thinner than a human hair, placed by a purpose-built surgical robot. Trial participants use it to move a cursor, type, and play games by thought alone — no wires, fully wireless charging.
What sets it apart
Robotic thread placement
A surgical robot places ultra-thin threads with sub-millimeter precision, avoiding surface blood vessels entirely.
Fully wireless
No external wires or ports — the implant charges inductively and streams signal over a wireless link.
